Out of luck

MVBFCarmel and I decide today would be a good day to go out to lunch at the Straw Bale. 

Driving into the street where this café is located we think something is not as it should be. There are no cars parked nearby in the street and when we get closer we discover fencing has been put up around the building: the type of fencing often found on construction sites.

There is a sign on the fence so I persuade MVBFCarmel to go over and read it.

We will not be eating at the Straw Bale today; nor will we be eating on any other day while I am in Shepp.  It is closed for some time; most likely the owner has gone back to Thailand for a holiday.

We are disappointed but not without other ideas for lunch; we head off in the direction of the main shopping centre.

Our destination - no open door today!
