Daylight Saving has stretched this year, all the way into April.
I'm not one of those people who loath daylight saving and whine about it endlessly - I have many, many other things in my life which I whinge and whine about, but DST is not one of them....
However, having said that I will say the last two weeks, where it is still dark at 7 am is not exactly my favourite time of the year. This morning it was great to wake up and see daylight. Of course what is gained in the morning is lost at the end of the day and this month will see the end of my late evening sessions on the internet at the local library.
I heard one of my neighbours heading off to work this morning; they are very good about not making a noise, the inner door clicks closed and then the screen door is carefully closed. I looked at my clock, it read 5 am and I decided they had overlooked, or forgotten, to reset their clocks.
The neighbors work at a local aged care facility and I have an idea the residents might have been treated to an unexpected very, very early breakfast this morning.
