Two sisters, dressed in an identical manner. Long white
socks, matching boots, pale blue dresses with a pink ribbon tied around their waists
and shoulder length hair; they appear on the roof top garden at the hospital.
They are on a scavenger hunt which calls for a costume and
are dressed as the Grady twins/sisters from The Shining. I’ve seen The Shining
and although I found it a very creepy and unsettling movie I do not have the
faintest recollection of the Grady twins.
Even today when I watch a couple of videos on YouTube I have no
recollection. When I watched the movie I think I saw the Grady twin’s
appearance as a figment of a deeply disturbed Danny’s imagination.
These two girls are having the time of their life and one of
them has the Grady look perfected. A photo of the city from the garden rooftop –
a selfie, of course – might just give them the edge on a cityscape from an
unusual place. Their next task is to find a Clydesdale horse. They see the
Collingwood Children’s farm as a possibility but I wouldn’t count on that. Cows, goats, sheep, pigs and horses are often
in residence but a real live Clydesdale? You might be disappointed girls.
In character, they wave, chorus ‘Goodbye’ and vanish back
through the café.
