Living the blog life

I have persisted on and off, (with vast amounts of  'off' and very little 'on')  for eight years now, in maintaining an alphabetical process for my blogs.

It would make my life a whole lot easier if I chose the normal title path most sensible people take and just put up a title that fits the post.  Or doesn't fit the post, as the case may be.

No.  I persevere, as this idea amuses, entertains and very often exasperates me. It also makes me think long and hard some days about finding the appropriate title word for the subject I wish to blather on about.

Today's title was easy.  It doesn't relate to anything specific in my day but it does fit into the alphabetical order.

Living the blog life means making the day's post fit the alphabetical order. It means planning in advance and it is a particularly good idea with that handful of very difficult letters - think the very end of the alphabet.

In other words I set off  on an outing with the intent of doing something in particular which will fit into the  next letter of the alphabet.

I hope I live long enough to put this grand plan into operation.

Tuesday afternoon at Andy’s

I walked in the door to Andy’s café this afternoon and it seemed like a second home-coming.

It’s a fine thing in this world of constant change, where the newest, most socially desirable  of cafes often  have queues of people waiting to get inside the door, to stroll up the street, walk in the door and be able to sit down, confident  all your food and beverage expectations will be met without fuss or attitude.

At  Andy’s it also means being greeted within a few seconds of walking in; this attention to customers, old and new, has its downside; if you were considering nipping in the door to run off with today’s Epicure lift-out, a free drink from the cold cabinet or some other small, easily concealed item, you would be making a big mistake.  Andy would be right onto any sneaky behaviour.

Today was a late lunch day for me and as my appetite is nowhere near back to normal, I am not yet back to eating everything in sight.  I ask Andy to split the serve and  eat half at the café and take the rest home for a meal tomorrow.

All is well with my new life today.
